The GoDaddy.com Bowl airs tonight at 5, live from Mobile, Alabama. It pits 6-6 Middle Tennessee State versus 9-4 Miami of Ohio. Are you fired up? Well, honestly, maybe you should be.
All you hear about is how the Red Eagles are, with a win, going to set the NCAA record for biggest turnaround in two seasons. But I never like stories that hinge on how underrated the preseason pundits valued a team. Bottom line, this team always competes strongly in the MAC.
I'm always impressed with the bowl play from Sun Belt teams. Though a tough year for the Blue Raiders, they rebounded from a very slow start to making a bowl game.
They're three point favorites, and though I'm taking the points, I still expect blue to triumph over red in what I hope and expect is going to be an offensive shootout.
