If you don't know who's playing by now, you're probably not going to watch anyway. As of right now, the line is Auburn by 1.5. What I think is crazy, and also something I'd bet on, I saw that the over/under was as high as 74.5. Under all day long, right?
Cam Newton, LaMichael James, Heisman Trophy, undefeated, offensive explosion. Ok, bases are covered. Now to the meat of it.
How can anyone be sold on Auburn's defense? They gave up more points than my opponents did in Madden '94. Quick shout out to all you SNES lovers. This leads me to believe that the only way Oregon does not score above 35 is by penalties, turnovers or a complete mental collapse (which I have to admit scares me).
Oregon is no Boston College, either (can you believe they held Nevada to 20 points last night?), but they had miles more success than the Tigers. You kind of get the feeling that they will stop Auburn at least a few times, right? After all, they've got a bunch of California kids running around for them.
And that's the real reason I'm taking Oregon. My buddy from work is from Memphis. He talks all the time about how much better the SEC is than all other conferences. If he was not cheering for Auburn tonight, admittedly one of the more likable teams in the SEC and somewhat akin to what Oregon is in the PAC-10, wouldn't you lose a little respect for him? He would be going against where he's from.
Now let's just hope he's wrong as I've got twenty on Oregon +1.5! (Plus, if I'm right, it'll make the wrap up post that much better.

I would love for the PAC-10 to add to the proof that they are AT LEAST equal to the SEC as much as the next guy, but I'm taking Auburn in this one. They had like 34 come from behind victories, which counts a lot toward a solid character and a calm demeanor in big games like this one. Oregon, who I've liked since the Donald Duck days, have cush facilities, 14 uniforms sponsored by Nike, and live the good life way to much to know how to scrap it out against a scrappy team from scrapperville like the Tigers. I'll take Reggie Bu...I mean Cam Newton, -6.
As a hater on Cam Newton and Auburn (for obvious reasons), I am sitting here as we approach halftime hoping that the Ducks pull one out for the Pac-10/12. As long as we still get Marqise Lee.
