Well, we are now just about 3.5 hours away from the opening game of the Canucks-Hawks series. If you aren't a Canuck or Blackhawk fan, you're probably a little sick of the massive amount of posts meant to pump us all up for this series. However, I would assert that if you aren't at least a little excited about this series, you probably aren't a real hockey fan.
As for Jon and I, this series is pretty much the pinnacle of our sports lives, as far as postseason rivalries go.
That being said, I'm putting this post up as an open thread for comments reagrding game one of this series. I'll be watching on the DVR once my son hits the sack, probably about 45 minutes behind the live feed, but I'll be commenting all over this bad boy once I get to watching.
So, let the LSF Nation come together and comment the heck out of this post.

I was just thinking about how much a 9 pm Chicago start time for these first two games really sucks for the young kids rooting on their favorite team.
The last four times the Canucks have made it into the playoffs, they have vanquished their first round foes. Let's hope they can make it five.

Some hockey expert from NHL.com named Dave Lozo has picked the Canucks and Sabres to be the two teams meeting in the Stanley Cup Finals. He has the Sabres in 7. Is he the only one to make such a prediction (besides us, of course)?

Ya didnt hear either of those. That would be awesome haha. As for the prediction super ballsy specially the Vancouver pick but I do like seeing LSF teams in there.
OH and I only know who Ryan Kesler is every 4 years. ANd for my prediction its gonna go 7 and the Hawks will take it. Luongo has to much pressure on him and the Vancouver offense is a little too top heavy.

Versus finally shows the game and it's already 2-0 Canucks. Can't complain. Kes' tip was nice, and Hansen's goal was awesome. What speed shown by our Great Dane!! Time for the 2nd.

Luongo had a workout in the 2nd Im glad the Hawks settled down a little. Still too many mistakes and tentative play. Kesler is noticeable especially the bullshit in between whistles.
Kane and Kesler tied for most points by US born players? How did I not know that?
Is anyone else tired of the Versus play-by-play guy simply saying the name of whoever has the puck instead of actually announcing the game? Really, really bad.

Only Canuck fans realize how huge a shutout for Luongo to start this postseason. However, Hawk fans are probably ready to jump on the fact that we've won game one the last two seasons.
